Titan Unveils VETRA In-House Mechanical Movement and First Experiential Space in Dubai.

Dubai(News Desk):: Titan Watches, part of the Tata Group, has unveiled its first experiential space at Mall of the Emirates, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s watchmaking journey with the introduction of its in-house mechanical movement, VETRA.
Open until November 2, 2026, the exclusive showcase brings together Titan’s premium watch collections, highlighting the brand’s growing expertise in precision engineering, Indian craftsmanship and contemporary design.
The launch marks a new chapter for Titan as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and introduce international customers to its evolving watchmaking capabilities. Over the next five years, the company plans to open 70 exclusive stores across the region, building on its existing network of 44 stores, including 31 in the UAE.
Speaking at the launch, Rahul Shukla, Vice President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Titan Watches, said Dubai was chosen as the destination to introduce the brand’s watchmaking story to the international stage.
He said the company aims to offer customers a firsthand experience of how design, storytelling and advanced horological engineering come together through Titan’s latest collections and its new experiential destination.
Shukla highlighted that Titan’s ambition is to establish India as a significant force in modern horology by creating aspirational timepieces that combine craftsmanship, innovation and international appeal.
VETRA: A New Milestone in Indian Watchmaking
At the centre of the showcase is VETRA, Titan’s first in-house automatic mechanical movement, representing a major achievement in the company’s engineering development.
The VETRA 7A series features a single mechanical architecture capable of supporting multiple complications, including a 72-hour power reserve, GMT functionality and Big-Date displays. Each movement is hand-assembled and individually tested, reflecting Titan’s focus on precision and quality.
VETRA also powers the new Signature Automatics collection, which is being showcased alongside the movement at Mall of the Emirates.
Showcasing Titan’s Premium Watch Collections
The experiential space also features several of Titan’s distinctive collections, each reflecting a different aspect of the brand’s design philosophy and craftsmanship.
Nebula, Titan’s high-horology collection, celebrates India’s traditional art forms and specialist craftsmanship through watches crafted in solid 18-carat gold.
Raga, the brand’s women’s collection, celebrates femininity and the many dimensions of modern women, while Edge showcases Titan’s expertise in ultra-slim watchmaking through minimalist designs that now extend into mechanical timepieces.
The display also includes new additions to Titan’s automatic watch range, demonstrating the brand’s ability to combine traditional artistry with contemporary engineering across different price segments.
Commenting on Titan’s competitive strengths, Shukla said the company brings together in-house watchmaking, distinctive design storytelling and strong value. He noted that only a limited number of watchmakers worldwide manufacture their own mechanical movements.
He added that every timepiece displayed at the showcase, from the flying tourbillon to the sophisticated Edge collection, reflects the brand’s belief that craftsmanship and engineering should complement one another.
Expanding Titan’s Presence Across the GCC
The Dubai showcase comes as Titan enters a new phase of regional expansion, aiming to strengthen its position from an established watch brand to a more aspirational international name.
Titan entered the GCC market through Oman in 1994 and has since expanded its retail network to 44 exclusive stores across the region, including 31 in the UAE.
The company also states that it is the first watch brand to establish exclusive stores in all seven emirates.
Through its latest launch, Titan is highlighting India’s growing capabilities in precision watchmaking while bringing its combination of artistic heritage, mechanical innovation and premium design to customers in the UAE and wider Middle East.-END-
