IIFA 2027: Abu Dhabi to Host 27th IIFA Weekend & Awards at Etihad Arena.
ABU DHABI(Web Desk):: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards will return to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, for its 27th edition on January 22–23, 2027, bringing two days of Indian cinema, music, star-studded performances and entertainment to the iconic Etihad Arena.
The return of IIFA to Abu Dhabi was officially announced at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2026, marking the continuation of the partnership between IIFA, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral.
The 2027 edition will mark IIFA’s fourth showcase in Abu Dhabi, further strengthening the emirate’s connection with the global Indian entertainment community.
Star-Studded Line-Up
IIFA 2027 is set to feature a major line-up of Indian film and entertainment stars, including Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal.
The two-day celebration will combine live entertainment, music, cinematic excellence and spectacular performances, with audiences and artists expected to gather from around the world.
H.E. Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, said IIFA’s return reflects the strength of Abu Dhabi’s relationship with India and reinforces the emirate’s growing profile as a destination for international entertainment and culture.
Taghrid Alsaeed, Executive Director – Marketing, Communications and Events at Miral, said Yas Island was delighted to welcome IIFA back for its fourth Abu Dhabi showcase, highlighting the partnership’s shared focus on creativity, storytelling and global entertainment.
Tickets Go on Sale September 18
IIFA 2027 tickets are scheduled to go on sale at 10:00am UAE time on Friday, September 18, 2026.
The event will take place at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, with IIFA promising an expanded experience featuring major stars, entertainment and fan engagement.
IIFA Founder and Director Andre Timmins said the 2027 edition would seek to build on the academy’s more than 26-year journey of taking Indian cinema to international audiences.
With Abu Dhabi as its global stage, IIFA 2027 is being presented in partnership with Sobha Realty, YouTube and ZEE.
The event is expected to once again position Yas Island at the centre of a major international celebration of Indian cinema, culture and entertainment.
