Al Masaood Power Showcases Critical Infrastructure Solutions at Airport Show 2026.

The division will showcase technologies designed for airport infrastructure at the Dubai event

AbuDhabi(News Desk):: Al Masaood Power Division, part of Al Masaood Group, is showcasing advanced power solutions for critical infrastructure at Airport Show 2026, taking place from 12 to 14 October at Dubai World Trade Centre. The division is highlighting technologies designed to support the operational continuity, resilience and power quality requirements of modern airports and aviation facilities.

A key highlight of the division’s participation is the mtu Kinetic PowerPack (KPP), a dynamic uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solution developed for mission-critical applications where a reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply is essential. The technology reflects Al Masaood Power’s commitment to delivering dependable power solutions that address the evolving needs of the aviation sector and other critical industries.

Airports rely on complex networks of infrastructure and operational systems that must function continuously, often around the clock. Any disruption to the electricity supply can affect essential operations, making resilient power protection a fundamental requirement for airport operators. The mtu Kinetic PowerPack is designed to address these challenges by combining kinetic energy storage with diesel generation in an integrated system that maintains power to critical loads during utility supply failures or disturbances.

Commenting on the division’s participation, Rasso Bartenschlager, General Manager of Al Masaood Power, said the continued growth of the aviation sector was placing greater emphasis on the resilience of the infrastructure supporting airport operations.

“The continued development of the aviation sector is placing greater emphasis on the resilience of the infrastructure behind it. For airports and other mission-critical facilities, reliable power is fundamental to maintaining continuity and protecting critical operations.

“At Al Masaood Power, our focus is on combining proven global technologies with the technical expertise and local support our customers require. The Airport Show provides an important platform for us to demonstrate how solutions such as the mtu Kinetic PowerPack can help operators strengthen power resilience while responding to requirements around efficiency, footprint and long-term operational performance,” he said.

Unlike conventional battery-based systems that rely on stored electrical energy for short-term backup, the mtu Kinetic PowerPack uses stored kinetic energy to maintain the electricity supply when the incoming mains power fails or experiences a disturbance. In the event of a mains failure, the stored kinetic energy is transferred immediately to the system’s synchronous machine, helping maintain power to critical loads while the diesel engine starts and subsequently takes over the energy supply.

This integrated approach is designed to support continuity in environments where even brief power interruptions can have significant operational consequences. The technology is deployed globally across a range of mission-critical applications, including infrastructure facilities, data centres, healthcare establishments and process manufacturing operations.

For airport operators, the system offers an approach to power protection focused on operational resilience, continuity and efficient use of available space. These considerations are increasingly important as airports expand their facilities, upgrade existing infrastructure and respond to growing operational demands.

Al Masaood Power’s participation at Airport Show 2026 also underlines its role in bringing internationally established power technologies to regional customers, supported by local technical expertise and after-sales services. As an authorised distributor of mtu solutions, the division works with customers to identify and deliver power systems tailored to the specific operational requirements of critical facilities.

Through its presence at the exhibition, Al Masaood Power aims to engage with airport operators, infrastructure specialists and other industry stakeholders on the importance of resilient power systems in supporting the continued development of aviation infrastructure across the region.

Visitors to Airport Show 2026 can meet the Al Masaood Power team and learn more about the mtu Kinetic PowerPack at Stand 1400, Hall 1, at Dubai World Trade Centre, from 12 to 14 October.

The division’s showcase highlights the growing importance of dependable power infrastructure in helping airports maintain operational continuity, strengthen resilience and prepare for the demands of an increasingly technology-driven aviation industry.
