Yaqoub Al-Saadi Wins “Best Arab Media Personality of 2025” Award
Abu Dhabi(News Desk):: Emirati media personality Yaqoub Al-Saadi, head of Abu Dhabi Sports Channels and Abu Dhabi Media’s “Yas Channel,” achieved a new milestone by winning the “Best Arab Media Personality of 2025” award at “The Best” awards ceremony, in its second edition, held Thursday evening in Cairo, Egypt.
Al-Saadi’s crowning came after he topped the Arab public poll, which garnered millions of entries on the award’s website. Organizers announced his significant lead over his competitors just before the ceremony, amidst widespread public acclaim and remarkable appreciation from the audience, which included a distinguished group of artists, athletes, politicians, media figures, and intellectuals from across the Arab world.
Al-Saadi’s win comes as a tribute to his long career in developing the sports content industry and establishing high professional standards in sports coverage, programming, and analysis. It also affirms his ability to elevate the Emirati and Arab sports media landscape through innovative visions and professional performance.

We remain committed to providing media experiences that raise standards and enhance the presence of Emirati sports media regionally and across the Arab world.” The evening was attended by a large group of Arab media figures and celebrities, in addition to a number of prominent athletes, including Emad Moteab, Abdullah Al-Saeed, Juan Bezerra, and Emirati commentator Fares Awad, winner of the “Best Arab Commentator” award.
It is worth noting that Al-Saadi began his media career as a sports commentator, covering the 1998 World Cup in France. He then moved on to presenting sports programs, most notably “Cairo… Abu Dhabi” and “Game Over.” In 2016, he won the “Best Arab Media Personality” award.
