Nancy Guthrie, though, has been missing for over six months. No suspect has been arrested yet. But Flock Safety co-founder, however, made an explosive claim.
Garett Langley, in an interview with Vanity Fair, alleged that his company’s technology could have been used in the case and could have solved it.
“We could have solved that case. There’s no doubt in my mind,” he told the magazine.
However, his comments come after several cities and counties in Arizona, as well as law enforcement agencies, have either ended ties with Flock Safety or are reconsidering their contracts due to the potential misuse of the company’s automated license readers.
Meanwhile, Nancy has been missing for over six months, and her family, particularly her daughter TODAY anchor Savannah Guthrie, has been in agony ever since.
In a recent post on social media, she poured her emotions out, explaining how a void has been open as the 84-year-old remains missing
“This is our beautiful Mom. Six months ago, someone took her out of her bed in the dead of night. We have lived every moment, every breath, and every heartbeat in agony and despair ever since,” she began.
“Every day, we wake up and try to be strong and go on—because that’s what our joyful and resilient Mom taught us to do,” she continued.
“But make no mistake — our hearts are in ruins. Cam and Kristine; Annie and Tommy; Mike and I — we spend every waking moment thinking of her, longing for her, looking for her.
“There is a hole inside us that can never be filled,” Savannah achingly said in the post.
“There is an ache that cannot be softened. And there is a determination in us that cannot be quenched — to find out what happened to her so that we can give her the dignity of a proper goodbye — a celebration of her remarkable life that she so deserves,” she noted.
Nancy has been missing since Feb 1 from her home near Tucson, Arizona.
