Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Medical City Named Official Medical Partner of President’s Cup Final

Dubai(News Desk):: The United Arab Emirates Football Association (UAEFA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City – SEHA, appointing the medical institution as the official medical partner of the President’s Cup final, which will see Al Jazira Club and Al Ain FC face off on 22 May at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The agreement was signed by Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the UAE Football Association, and Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al Karam, Chief Executive Officer, Al Ain Region, SEHA.
Commenting on the partnership, Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the UAE Football Association, said: “Our partnership with Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City reflects our commitment to strengthening collaborations between national institutions, particularly within the healthcare sector, in support of the UAE’s leading sporting events and competitions. Integration between the different entities contributes to enhancing the quality of services provided and reflects the UAE’s advanced position in hosting sporting events according to the highest international standards.
“The UAE Football Association welcomes such strategic partnerships that contribute to delivering a comprehensive and distinguished organizational model, further enhancing the success of the President’s Cup final, one of the country’s most prominent sporting events, which enjoys significant fan attendance and widespread media coverage both locally and internationally.”
Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al Karam, Chief Executive Officer, Al Ain Region, SEHA, expressed his pride in the partnership and highlighted the importance of healthcare within the sporting ecosystem and said: “We are proud to collaborate with the sporting and football communities in the country. Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City is fully equipped to support sporting events and athletes from a medical perspective, especially the President’s Cup, which holds a special place in the hearts of the Emirati people. The collaboration with the UAE Football Association is both important and necessary, as medicine and sport are deeply interconnected in fields that support one another. Medicine supports sport, while physical activity enhances health and wellbeing.”
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to provide a fully integrated medical services system during the final, including health awareness messaging for fans within the Fan Zone. A dedicated national medical team will be stationed across the stadium, including player clinics, VIP areas and fan zones, alongside 32 paramedics deployed throughout the venue and ambulances equipped with the latest medical technologies.
The agreement reflects both parties’ commitment to enhancing health awareness and delivering advanced and rapid healthcare services during the highly anticipated final, while further strengthening cooperation between the medical and sporting sectors to ensure the highest standards of safety and care.-ENDS-
