Record 64 Teams Set to Compete in Dubai’s Largest Corporate Cricket Tournament – The Jafza Cup presented by We One

Dubai(News Desk):: As part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, The Jafza Cup presented by We One returns for its biggest-ever edition, welcoming a record 64 corporate teams from across Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) for a month of competitive cricket and community spirit.

Organised by DP World and hosted at the We One Community Cricket Ground in Mina Jebel Ali, the tournament runs from 1-30 November 2025 as part of Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2025, uniting businesses, employees, and sports fans through the city’s signature “30 minutes for 30 days” movement.

Now in its third season, the Jafza Cup has become a fixture of Dubai’s corporate sporting calendar, underlining DP World’s and Jafza’s shared commitment to health, wellbeing, and teamwork while promoting cricket as a unifying force across the community.

Building on the success of last year’s event, which saw DHL Express crowned champions from a field of 48 teams, this year’s expanded competition will feature 30 days of cricket, culminating in the crowning of the Jafza Cup champions at the end of the month.

The tournament featured a special Captains’ Day at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 25 bringing together team leaders, organisers, and partners to celebrate this year’s competition.

The Jafza Cup presented by We One underscores DP World’s long-standing commitment to community sport and its belief that physical activity drives productivity, wellbeing, and engagement in the workplace.

Each participating company fields a squad drawn from its own workforce, encouraging employees to represent their organisations both on and off the field.

The tournament also celebrates DP World’s global sports portfolio, which includes partnerships that champion accessibility and grassroots development in sport. DP World is also one of the partners of DFC 2025 and the title sponsor of the DP World Golf Tour and DP World Tour Championship, held from 13-16 November at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

In recognition of its community impact, the Jafza Cup was named Best Community Sports Event at the 2025 Sports Industry Awards (SPIAs), further cementing Dubai’s position as a regional hub for inclusive, large-scale sports events.
