Al Ain Zoo Kicks Off the Season with Unique Wildlife Experiences and Spectacular ‘Glow After Dark’ Festival.
The UAE’s beloved wildlife destination opens its gates this September, inviting families to discover the Zoo in a new light, with a myriad of adventures, new offerings and adjusted hours
Abu Dhabi(Web Desk):: September 02, 2026: Al Ain Zoo, one of the Middle East’s oldest and largest wildlife destinations, is welcoming guests back on September 5 with a refreshed line-up of experiences and more ways for families to explore the wonders of the natural world. Guests can look forward to unforgettable encounters, refreshed dining options and unmissable experiences that light up the Zoo at night.
Running from September 5 to October 4, Al Ain Zoo will light up after dark with its “Glow After Dark” festival. As the sun sets, the Zoo will transform into an enchanting nighttime spectacle with illuminated animal displays, immersive performances and engaging moments for the whole family.
To accommodate the festivities, the Zoo will be open from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, with festival activities beginning at 5:00pm. Guests can enjoy an evening of entertainment featuring high-energy performers in dazzling LED costumes and larger-than-life glowing stilt walkers, creating an enthralling atmosphere throughout the Zoo. Families can also discover the debut of the Nature Venture show, where children and parents can settle in for immersive storytelling, bringing fascinating tales of the animal kingdom to life, once the sun sets.
Beyond the ‘Glow After Dark’ festivities, guests can enjoy a range of signature encounters and experiences designed for all ages. These include the popular safari, offering close-up views of African wildlife, with the opportunity to feed giraffes. Guests can also try the Lemur Walk, where they can observe these playful, social primates up close and enjoy a more immersive experience.
To complement a day of exploration and memory making, Al Ain Zoo offers a variety of dining options to suit every taste. Guests can enjoy a diverse selection of international cuisine at Zarafa Restaurant, nestled among the Zoo’s lush greenery, or grab a quick bite at Oasis Café or Bites Corner if time is tight. For more globally inspired flavors, Mexican Fiesta serves hearty burritos, Asia Express offers delicious Indian cuisine, Wild Burger serves up juicy American-style burgers and Taste of Arabia brings traditional Arabic flavors to the table.
Families are invited to gather and discover a new side of Al Ain Zoo. Admission is AED 31.50 for adults, AED 10.50 for children aged 3 to 12, and free for children under 3.
