ADCMC Strengthens the Alternative Service Programme to Support Vital Sectors.
Abu Dhabi(News Desk)::The Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) confirmed the successful implementation of the Alternative Service Programme in cooperation with its strategic partners. The programme has achieved tangible progress in enhancing readiness and strengthening training to respond effectively to various challenges.
The Programme has recorded a steady increase in the number of recruits, with enrolment in recent
batches rising by more than 43%. Recruits have also been deployed across a growing number of
government entities and companies throughout the emirate over successive batches. This reflects the
wise leadership’s commitment to developing and equipping national talent capable of sustaining the
emirate’s achievements and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of essential services.
The Alternative Service Programme is based on a sustainable approach that empowers national talent
and integrates it into vital sectors and institutions, ensuring the continuity of essential services. This
strengthens the implementation of readiness plans and enhances coordination among stakeholders in
managing daily operations and responding to different situations with professionalism and efficiency.
His Excellency Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of The Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi (ADCMC), said: “The Alternative Service Programme is a key pillar of the emirate’s strategic preparedness framework and a long-term investment in developing qualified national talent to support vital sectors. In cooperation with our partners, we continue to enhance operational plans and field deployment mechanisms, with a focus on integrating recruits into critical roles that support business continuity. Their performance is regularly assessed through annual exercises and readiness tests to ensure they contribute effectively to operational readiness and the continuity of essential services.”
The Abu Dhabi Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre continues to enhance the
efficiency of the Alternative Service Program by assessing vital roles in line with changing needs and dynamics, alongside developing recruit monitoring mechanisms. Parallel to these efforts,ADCMC is automating procedures on the "Murona" platform ahead of its upcoming launch to bolster governance, service speed, and data accuracy, further reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the worlds most prepared and resilient cities in responding to crises of all kinds.-END-
