Heritage Activities and Interactive Experiences Drive Strong Visitor Engagement on Day Nine of ADIHEX 2026
Abu Dhabi(News Desk):: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the ninth day of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2026) continued to deliver a rich programme of heritage, cultural and interactive activities, attracting strong interest from visitors, families and enthusiasts of hunting, falconry and equestrian sports.
Held under the theme “A Legacy of Pride”, the exhibition continues until 6 September at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi and is organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon company, in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club.
The ninth day’s programme featured a wide variety of activities that brought together Emirati heritage, live demonstrations and interactive experiences. Highlights included the Arabian Saluki hunting simulation competition, which gave visitors the opportunity to learn more about the historical significance of the Arabian Saluki and its long-standing association with hunting traditions in the UAE.
The evening programme featured a falconry hunting simulation presented by ADNOC, alongside a purebred Arabian horse showcase by Mahab Equestrian, Arabian Saluki demonstrations by Delma Kennels, and a tent pegging display presented by Rodney Stables, highlighting horsemanship skills and various aspects of equestrian sport.
The programme also featured the traditional Tshouleeb performance, presented in collaboration with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, celebrating one of the heritage arts linked to equestrian traditions. This was complemented by an equestrian display presented by ADNOC, highlighting the enduring significance of Arabian horses in Emirati culture and heritage.
Abu Dhabi Police featured prominently in the day’s programme through a range of demonstrations and activities that attracted strong visitor interest. Highlights included a security scenario simulation, a mounted police display, and performances by the police band and K9 teams, providing visitors with a closer look at the capabilities and expertise of specialised police units.
As part of the exhibition’s cultural programme, visitors enjoyed the traditional Al Bahhara performance, which brought elements of the UAE’s maritime heritage to the live Arena and highlighted customs and traditions that formed an integral part of community life. The programme also featured a performance by the Japanese Shoten Dubai Taiko drummers, adding an international cultural dimension to the day’s activities before concluding with a further Arabian Saluki display.
The Learning Majlis and interactive zone continued to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, reflecting the exhibition’s role as an international platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration in fields related to falconry and the preservation of cultural heritage.
ADIHEX 2026 continues to reinforce its position as a global platform where heritage, culture and innovation converge, offering visitors a comprehensive experience that combines learning, entertainment, live demonstrations and interactive activities. Through this diverse programme, the exhibition plays an important role in preserving Emirati heritage, promoting its values and traditions, and ensuring their continuity across generations.
The 23rd edition of ADIHEX concludes tomorrow, Sunday, 6 September 2026, following ten days of activities and programmes that brought together exhibitors, experts, enthusiasts and visitors from the UAE and around the world, united by a shared interest in hunting, falconry and equestrian sports.-Ends-
