UAE Cycling Federation and AB Investment Sign Strategic Partnership to Support National Teams and Talents.

Dubai, UAE – September 3, 2026: The UAE Cycling Federation and AB Investment have signed a strategic partnership and sponsorship agreement aimed at supporting the UAE’s national cycling teams and clubs, developing national sporting talent, and strengthening the presence of Emirati cyclists at local, regional and international championships.
The agreement was announced during a press conference held at Palazzo Versace Dubai, attended by H.E. Eng. Mansour Juma Buosaiba, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Cycling Federation; Dr. Butti Al Marri, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AB Investment; Mohammed Butti Al Marri, Vice Chairman of AB Group; along with federation board members, club representatives, athletes, sponsors and members of the media.
The partnership reflects the UAE’s continued commitment to developing the sports sector and supporting national federations and teams, while promoting values including discipline, determination, teamwork and national pride among young people.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Mansour Juma Buosaiba and Mohammed Butti Al Marri, marking the beginning of a new phase of cooperation focused on advancing the federation’s plans and programmes.
Buosaiba said the partnership represents an important addition to the federation’s efforts to develop cycling, strengthen national teams and clubs, and provide Emirati athletes with an environment that enables them to enhance their skills and compete successfully at major championships.He highlighted the progress achieved by Emirati cycling in international rankings and the strong results recorded by UAE cyclists, attributing these achievements to the support provided to the sports sector, as well as the continued efforts of clubs, national teams and technical and administrative teams.
He added that the partnership with AB Investment will support programmes designed to broaden participation in cycling, identify and develop new talent, and strengthen national team training programmes. These initiatives are expected to enhance the competitiveness of Emirati cyclists and support their continued success.
Dr. Butti Al Marri said the partnership reflects AB Investment’s belief in investing in human capital and supporting young people and talented athletes.He noted that the UAE has established a strong model for developing athletes and providing them with the resources required to succeed, adding that supporting national teams and clubs contributes to building generations capable of representing the country with distinction at regional and international events.
Mohammed Butti Al Marri said the agreement demonstrates the group’s commitment to supporting sports and community initiatives and its belief in the role of sport in developing young people and promoting ambition, excellence and national belonging.
He said the group looks forward to a long-term partnership with the UAE Cycling Federation that will help strengthen national teams and clubs, empower Emirati talent and turn athletes’ ambitions into measurable achievements.
Honorary Appointments Announced
During the conference, Dr. Butti Al Marri was granted the honorary presidency of the UAE Cycling Federation, in recognition of his support for the federation and its future development plans.
Dr. Anwar Al Hammadi was also granted honorary membership in the federation in recognition of his contributions to sporting initiatives and his support for cycling.
Dr. Butti Al Marri expressed his pride at receiving the honorary presidency and reaffirmed his commitment to working alongside the federation’s board of directors and partners to advance Emirati cycling and contribute to achieving its future objectives.
The conference also featured a visual presentation highlighting the history of the UAE Cycling Federation, its major achievements and milestones, and the development of the UAE national teams and their growing presence on the regional and international cycling stage.
New Memoranda of Understanding
As part of the event, the UAE Cycling Federation also signed Memoranda of Understanding with several supporting organisations, including Dermamed Clinic, represented by Dr. Anwar Al Hammadi; VT & K Consultancy, represented by its Founder and Chairman Vagif Tarifirdev; Aqua Carpatica UAE, represented by Dr. Hassan Miqdad; The Master Holding Group, represented by Founder and Chairman Mohammed Al Maqoudi; and The Top Group, represented by Co-Founder and CEO Raghid Al Tahhan.
Representatives of the supporting organisations stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the private sector and sporting institutions, creating greater opportunities for athletes and supporting programmes that contribute to the sustainable development of cycling in the UAE.
The event concluded with a panel discussion in which representatives of the UAE Cycling Federation and AB Investment responded to questions from members of the media regarding the partnership’s objectives, future programmes and its expected contribution to national teams, clubs and the development of Emirati cycling talent.
