ICAI Abu Dhabi Chapter Celebrates 78th CA Day with Insightful Sessions and Recognition of Professional Excellence.
Abu Dhabi(News Desk):: The ICAI Abu Dhabi Chapter commemorated the 78th Chartered Accountants Day (CA Day 2026) with a grand celebration at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, bringing together more than 200 Chartered Accountants, finance professionals, entrepreneurs, business and Community leaders and students from across the UAE.
The event celebrated the invaluable contribution of the Chartered Accountancy profession to economic development, corporate governance and business excellence while providing a platform for professional learning, networking and recognition.
Addressing the gathering, CA Rohit Dayma, Chairperson of the ICAI Abu Dhabi Chapter, welcomed members and guests and outlined the Chapter’s vision under the theme – Together, We Grow.” He emphasized collaboration, innovation, continuous professional development and stronger member engagement as the cornerstones for building a dynamic and future-ready professional community. He reaffirmed the Chapter’s commitment to creating greater opportunities for leadership, learning and networking for both members and aspiring Chartered Accountants.
The technical programme featured an impressive lineup of distinguished speakers who shared valuable insights into the changing landscape of the profession.
CA (Dr.) Rohit Ruwatia, Chairman of the Members in Public Services Committee of ICAI, delivered a thought-provoking session titled “The Decade of the CA Profession,” highlighting the expanding role of Chartered Accountants in governance, public policy, digital transformation and nation-building.
The technical programme featured a distinguished line-up of speakers who shared diverse perspectives on the evolving role of Chartered Accountants.
Investment banker and financial influencer CA Sarthak Ahuja encouraged professionals to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship during his session on “Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Chartered Accountants,” inspiring attendees to explore opportunities beyond traditional career paths.
CA Kushal Lodha, Content Creator and Influencer, captivated the audience with his session on “Building Influence in the Digital Age,” demonstrating how finance professionals can leverage digital platforms responsibly to educate, inspire and build lasting professional brands.
One of the most inspiring sessions came from CA Nandini Agrawal, one of India’s youngest Chartered Accountants, who shared her remarkable journey in “Age is Just a Number: My Journey to Becoming the Youngest CA.” The technical sessions concluded with CA Sachin Agrawal, Investment Banking Analyst at JP Morgan, who highlighted the importance of perseverance, mentorship and family support during his address titled “Behind Every Achievement: The Power of Family, Mentorship & Values.”
Recognizing excellence within the profession, the Chapter presented the CA Excellence Honours to distinguished members for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the ICAI Abu Dhabi Chapter and the Chartered Accountancy profession. A ceremonial cake-cutting marked the 78th anniversary of the Institute, symbolizing its enduring legacy of integrity, professionalism and service.
A special felicitation was also held in honour of CA Krishnan N.V., Immediate Past Chairman, in recognition of his dedicated leadership and significant contributions to the Chapter’s growth and development during his tenure.
The celebrations concluded with an entertainment programme, networking and dinner, providing members, speakers and guests with an opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas and strengthen professional relationships.
