Abu Dhabi City Municipality organizes the “In Love with Our City” event,to raise awareness among workers about the importance of their role in maintaining the city’s public appearance.
Abu Dhabi,26th April 2026(News Desk)::To encourage workers and community members to play their part in maintaining the city’s appearance, Abu Dhabi City Municipality organized a community event entitled “In Love with Our City” in Al Sidirah Group Housing Village – ICAD 1, in cooperation with the Workers’ Housing Authority, Life Care Hospital, and City Hypermarket.
The event aimed to enhance communication with the working groups and involve them in achieving the goals of Abu Dhabi City Municipality in maintaining the general appearance, as well as raising workers’ awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, reducing the causes of pollution, and preserving energy sources.
The event included a number of awareness and educational workshops, including an awareness workshop that emphasized the importance of the role of workers in achieving the municipality’s goals in maintaining the city’s general appearance, where workers were informed of the most frequent violations and made aware of how to avoid committing them.
An awareness workshop was also organized to coincide with “Earth Day” which falls on April 22nd of each year, during which the focus was on the importance of preserving planet Earth, by reducing the causes of environmental pollution, preserving energy sources, and reducing the carbon footprint.
The event also included medical check-ups for workers, in cooperation with strategic partners, as well as organizing recreational and motivational competitions for workers, in addition to distributing gifts to the winners and participants.
A similar event was also carried out in one of the workers’ accommodations in the Qarn Yafour area, which included a workshop to raise workers’ awareness of the importance of maintaining the general appearance, and explaining the types of violations related to littering, in order to maintain the quality of life in the workers’ accommodations. The event also included a workshop on recycling paper newspapers, plastic bags and car tires.- End-
