Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority and Aldar Properties organize the Community Responder Forum for School Safety
AbuDhabi,16th April (News Desk)::The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority organized the Community Responder Forum for School Safety in cooperation with Aldar Properties, with the aim of attracting educational and supervisory staff to join the “Community Responder” program, which enhances their readiness to deal with emergency situations within the school environment and in their daily lives. The forum discussed five main themes, including introducing the community responder system, guidelines for a safe return to schools, raising awareness of school safety procedures, and reviewing awareness scenarios about evacuation procedures and dealing with various incidents, in order to contribute to building a safe school environment.
The authority emphasized its commitment to training and empowering educational and supervisory staff to respond quickly and effectively. In this context, specialized training programs were offered, focusing on safety concepts in educational buildings, mechanisms for dealing with risks within schools, and raising awareness of preventative measures in various vital facilities, with the aim of preparing personnel capable of protecting students and staff.
The forum also presented an overview of the second phase of the “Our Community is Ready” campaign, implemented by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Centre in collaboration with its partners, and its role in raising community awareness and empowering individuals to respond responsibly to emergencies. The authority also showcased a video demonstrating how volunteers respond to reports before the arrival of the relevant authorities.
The Community Responder System contributes to building a conscious and proactive society that supports official efforts when facing challenges, and embodies the Authority’s efforts to promote volunteer work as a fundamental pillar of the public safety system, and to improve the quality of life in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
