Bill Gates attends Foreign Ministry dialogue meeting, shares views on technology and welfare initiatives
AbuDhabi-Dec 11th 2025(News Desk)- The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited Bill Gates, a renowned global technology leader and Chairman of the Gates Foundation and co-founder of Microsoft, to a meeting held under the “MoFA Dialogues: Voices of Influence” series, where he highlighted his experiences and charitable activities in the fields of technology, innovation, education, health and agriculture.
The dialogue was hosted by Badr Jaafar, who serves as the Secretary of State’s Special Envoy for Business and Welfare Affairs.
“MoFA Dialogues: Voices of Influence” is a special dialogue series of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organized in collaboration with the Strategic Communications Department and the Office of the Special Envoy. It aims to bring together world leaders, influencers, and experts on a platform to exchange views on regional and international affairs, diverse topics, and the UAE’s foreign policy, investment, technology, and economic leadership.
Bill Gates said on this occasion that the future of the world lies in technology and innovation, and these sectors can play a key role in solving fundamental human problems such as health, education and agriculture. According to him, the integration of philanthropic investment and technology can overcome the major challenges facing the world.
The meeting also highlighted the UAE’s initiatives to make the country a leader in the economy of the future. More than 40 national plans, laws, initiatives and international agreements have been approved in areas such as artificial intelligence and advanced technology, aimed at attracting world-class companies, skills and investment to the country.
